SBA Director To Share Updates At Public Meetings

SANTA BARBARA, CA – Karen Ramsdell, Airport Director, will be making two public presentations regarding air service development for commercial airlines at Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) this month.  The topics include current non-stop routes and recent route gains and losses as well as background information and an outlook for future commercial airline options at SBA.  She will also give a brief update on the construction progress of the new airline terminal that is scheduled for completion in summer 2011.

The first public presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12th at 2 p.m. for the Santa Barbara City Council Meeting in Council Chambers at 735 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.  The Council meetings are televised live on Channel 18 and also viewable anytime on the City’s website at http://www.santabarbaraca.gov/Government/Video/.  Kevin Schorr, air service consultant, will also present air service information about how the Airport works to attract airlines to serve SBA. 

The second public presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 20th at 7 p.m. for the Airport Commission Meeting at the Administrative Offices at 601 Firestone Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93117.   Or viewers can watch this meeting that is taped for later telecasts on Channel 18.  The government access programming schedule is available at http://www.citytv18.com/meetings.htm.
